A few months a go I made my first purchase on amazon.co.uk, then I randomly made a list of dvds i wanted to own and went on again and got loads of them for really cheap. generally you can get some older titles for like a quid.

Or go to say blu ray section, set the price 'low to high' and browse away.

Noticed ASDA have started offering 3 film DVD bundles for £9, nothing exciting you might think as invariably you end up with a few duds mixed in with gems.

Until...I found a treasure chest!

Picked up a 'Coraline', 'Monster House' and '9' box set for £9, three films I've wanted to watch for a while, but was put off by the running time and price, with '9' especially.

Time for a belated animation fest this evening.

Also saw mad Max trilogy for £9, sure they're extra free vanilla discs, but still decent value for the boy on a budget.

All three of those films are worth a watch. Coraline is outstanding and worth the money by itself. 9 is beautiful to watch but comes up short plotwise and drags toward the end. I love monster house. So funny and scary at points really not the kids film I expected. You bought wisely.

*bump*

Found the entire "X Men" trilogy (that's up to "The Last Stand") for £9. Debated on whether to get it and give the franchise another chance ("First Class" was OK, didn't quite change my mind on it as such). Then decided not to.
