Manhatten for me is his best, I havent watched an Allen film for years, he lost his touch long ago. I remember watching a film of his in the last five years or so and it was dire, the name escapes me, but from what i have read about most of them it could be any of this last decades output.

I've never been a fan, and found Manhattan and Annie Hall awfully tedious. There is, after all, only so much Jewish neurosis a person can take. The only Allen films I've found remotely entertaining are Bananas and Sleepers.

Considering he has been bashing it out for 30+ years doenst help. The best thing about Manhatten is the cinamatography, I could watch images of New York like that all day, Im captivated by its landscape, its even better in Black and White.

I'm not a fan tbh. Of those I've seen I probably enjoyed Hannah and her Sisters most.

I wouldn't consider myself a fan. Manhattan bored the hell out of me, did not enjoy that at all. His most recent film, Whatever Works, is decent enough, but that's largely due to Larry David being a better Woody Allen than Allen himself is.
