I've just tried to read Desperate Remedies by Hardy. Whilst Hardy is often full of bull, his novels are usually relatively readable. This, however, was just impossible. Painfully so. I hate giving up on novels, but this one...I have to admit defeat.

Im currently reading The Image Of The Beast/Blown by Phillip Jose Farmer which is possibly one of the wierdest, sickest most disturbing books Ive read. I love it.
Best way to describe it is a literary version of Heironymos Bosch mixed with hardcore porn and some Eli Roth thrown into the mix. Certainly makes a change.

I'm currently reading The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. Great stuff, I bought it on a whim a few years ago because I liked the look of the cover (a shadow puppet of a cat pulling of a man's head) and I've managed to read it once every few months since.

I've just finished World War Z. Great book, interestingly written.
I can only speculate as to how they will manage to adapt that into a movie...
I'm starting Dune by Frank Herbert.
Page 4 and I'm already WTF-ing. I'm pretty sure 50% of the words I've read so far are made up...

I'm reading Lynch on Lynch, part of the Faber director series of books. It's fascinating stuff, delving deeply into the dreamlike quality of his work and how he gets his ideas. It covers his entire career from early films, to his paintings, Twin Peaks, photography and on to his films.
The thing that strikes me most reading it, is how incredibly enthusiastic he is about not only film but art and creativity of every form. He is so excitable he's like a child but I guess that's what any great artist is like.

Now if I could only understand why he made INLAND EMPIRE, the only film of his I truly struggled through.


Highly recommended to anyone interested in his work.

I'm reading Insomnia by Stephen King. Of course I read it years ago when it came out but I saw a copy and decided to give it another whirl. All King is good reading, easy to read at the end of a hard day at the cattery.

In the time since I read it last, I'm relating to the old age pensioner hero mooore than I did. blimmin 'eck.

Im reading a Biography on Bruce Lee (The Tao of Bruce Lee) the stuff about Lee is good, although much i had read before. Unfortunatly the Author spends the first part of the book talking about himself. To be quite honest I couldnt give a ****stain, he is not an almost mythical figure of 70's popular culture and Kung Fu, he is a chubby retard.
