Ok ill do it. What's the next Batman movie going to include
Story line? Villain? And if your going to say the Riddler, don't come out with terrible suggestions like Johnny Depp is going to play him. I don't think they should do the Riddler but there's not a lot of choices that will be any where near as entertaining as The Joker. If they do do the Riddler it will have to be so screwed up, like Jigsaw style. On second thought, I can't see Nolan signing up again. Even though im not doubting they can make another brilliant film, i just feel the best villain has been done and even the quality of the next film wouldn't emulate the sort anarchy there is in The Dark Knight. |

I think Chris Nolan will want to complete a trilogy of dark knight movies. Trilogies seem to be in vogue with directors these days. The thing for him to do would be to have more than just the one villain as seen in "the dark knight" and "spiderman 4". Personaly I think the penguin is a must have ,paul giamatti ? and who wouldn`t pay top dollar to see Megan fox in a cat suit ?

Just an idea, but I've always been a fan of continuity. We are told that Rachel Dawes was killed in The Dark Knight but never see her body...Why not bring her back in the third one, perhaps she was rescued at the last minute by thousands of stray cats who nurse her back to health Mowgli style and she in turns vows for revenge on Batman/Bruce Wayne as Catwomen?? Wildly off I know but it would be a nice twist...
Maybe after the trauma of his fathers death and resurrection and the following encounter with a frightening Two-Face, Lt. Gordon's young son could be used in some way?! He's appeared in the first two films. Maybe a bit too young? Robin maybe although to be honest I'm not a fan of bringing Robin into this particular franchise. |

I'd like to see either Bane or Man-Bat as the villain(s) of the piece. Perhaps Nolan could base it on the comic's in which Bane brakes Batmans back,...that'd be quite dark and right up Nolan's street i would think.

Not entirely sure Mr Nolan will touch a 3rd Batman. But if he does, I'm sure he'll try and keep a close sense of realism, which would mean villains like ManBat, Killer Croc, Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy are out. Which is a shame because ManBat would be a scary/ visually stunning baddie. Although he's a tad similar to Spider-Man's "The Lizard" & "Morbius" in terms of origins and motives (Scientist with good intentions befalls a tragic accident). Bane would be awesome, as would The Riddler. Both are monumentally intelligent and would give Batman a chance to flex his mental muscle. This is also the same argument I use for championing "Electro" and "The Lizard" in the new Spidey movie. We need to see more of Batmans great detective skills (thats "skills" with an S... not a Z).
Definately NOT Johnny Depp, David Tennant or Eddie Bloody Murphy as The Riddler. Guy Pearce, Philip Seymor Hoffman, or Tim Robins would be passable. Though I would like to see Mr Play-it-safe Tom Hanks in a meaty villain role. But top of my list would be creepy (One Hour Photo era) Robin Williams. As for Bane... someone BIG like Tyler Mane? Oh... and absolutely NO ROBIN. Catwoman will always be Michelle Pfeiffer in my eyes. Never some flavour of the month oscar whining (see what I did there) wannabe. Woah... rant over. Sorry people. |

I think that Robin would be a good introduction into the story line. The **** Grayson story line that is, not Jason Todd (he sucked ***). Then Bring bane in, as bane is quite a dark and evil character, and as previously mentioned the story line where bane breaks batmans back....leading to "The Dark Knight Returns" book by frank miller, with **** grayson as leader of the mutant gang.....good times!
what you think? |

Unfortunately what most of you are suggesting, is exactly why all the previous Batman movies sucked. Trying to stay hand to hand with all the "kookie" characters that exist in the DC universe is ludicrous.
Batman Returns and The Dark Knight were spectacular simply because we didn't dive into mutants, super-powers or other comic bulls**t. If Nolan does sign onto another Batman he will most definitely stay the course and create something that feels real once more. Villians like the Penguin, Harvey Dent (survived) and Catwoman (minus the cats, maybe she can have a fetish or something, but that's it) are really the only viable options out there. Anything outside of these would have this trilogy making the same mistakes Spider-Man did. I really hope we do see the completion of the trilogy, and with Nolan at the helm. But as I mentioned, keep the retarded villains out of it and make another great crime drama. |

Bane sounds like a good idea, he's something that could be re-imagined introducing an idea of drugs swamping Gotham... destroying hope and enslaving the poor etc.
Would that give Azriel a chance? Bane couldn't be the only villain. So there could be an idea of the Riddler being introduced as a criminologist helping crack codes etc for the police (because they can't use Batman) but he becomes power hungry, seeing his own chance to take control of crime in the city, and becomes the major bad. Bane could be Vin Diesel (he was a decent actor at one point), Azriel could be Sam Worthington... and the Riddler could be Viggo Mortensen (left-field, I know). There you go. Problem solved. |

I have an idea that involves the Riddler and the Black Mask before and after his accident.
I think the Riddler should be played by Joshua Harto who played reece in the dark knight. He has become bitter toward Bruce Wayne and intends to expose him for who he really is. But Reece has secrets of his own, at the time of the dark knight he was employed to infiltrate Wayne Enterprises by a rival businessman, Roman Sionis. People will start dying and everytime they do it benefits Roman Sionis, who we later find out double deals with the remainding mob in gotham. Each time there is a death there is a riddle left behind, not for Batman but for Gordon. My idea eventually leads Gordon to imformation exposing Bruce as Batman. Bruce will deny it at first but Gordon reassures him that his secret is safe with him. Gordon then shows Bruce the evidence that lead Gordon to him. Bruce then realises who the killer may be, as the evidence are the blue prints Reece managed to find in the Dark Knight. This would lead Bruce to Roman Sionis and an unknown in the name of Edward Nygma. We would find out that Reece was only called Reece as spy name but his real name is Edward Nygma. Ive written it in more detail than that but just thought id show you lot my potential idea see what your comments are. Thanks. |

Scrap that idea about Josh Harto being the riddler that was a bad suggestion. I've been writing a bit more and conjuring up ideas, and i came up with Harto's character Reece being killed in the third film.
With him publically going to the television and trying to reveal who batman was, people of gotham will presume he knows who batman is. Now the police need him for questioning about this as they think batman killed harvey dent. When Reece is eventually found he is murdered with a riddle by his side and again the clues are for Gordon for the reasons i said before. |
