I do think Thora Birch was good in Ghost World, but on viewing Scarlett Johansson's performance in the supporting role I knew this actress had star quality.

Yes Visitor Q is probably the most bizarre film that I've seen. Eraserhead is pretty funky too but I've not watched that in years (not out on DVD either).

I suppose there's Brown Bunny too although that would have to sit in the bad category really and not just weird.

I thought this was going to be a post about the film called The Good, The Bad and the Weird..! It was shown at the Leeds International Film Festival recently but I couldn't make although I know someone who went and said it was amazing! Another weird one from the film festival though, Tokyo Gore Police. You may not have heard of it but it's about criminals infected with something that causes them to grow deadly weapons out of bits of them that have been chopped/shot/blown off! It's completely insane and an absolute riot from start to finish!

I have to go along with David Lynch movies. Lost Highway totaly freaked me out. When that scary guy talked to himself on the phone all the hairs on my body went up! A great movie I've watched several times, but didn't realy get that "Bill Pullman - The Kid" switch. Can anybody tell me what's that all about?
