Nothing wrong with liking an actor who is bad, however does that mean he is a good actor? No, he has been standard at best, and that is usually when he is playing himself.

Is there any need for the sarcasm? People are only offering opinion.
The people, hmmm, why the patronising? The film was hyped by Media, this magazine being a prime candidate, as well as many others, not to mention wanky film students named Tarquin and Giles spouting psuedo-intellectual hyperbole about its moral and ethical questions, and the comment it has on soceity today. The film does that itself, and not exactly subtley.

Well its quite simple really, its not as good as it has been made out to be. Jonesy is right, it does have plenty to offer, it also has plenty wrong with it too, its far from a masterpiece that it is made out to be.

Why exactly is that tosh? We do live in sucha vapid, style and image consious time, is it so wrong to wish that people would follow individuality rather that bleet wit the rest of the sheep?

Captain Obvious to the rescue. Its not about that at all. Fight Club isnt a political movement, or a radical new way of life, its not a calling card to a generation of frustrated males, it simply told a generation of lazy males that they can be frustrated.

Certainly not, your opinion on whether you like a film is not in question. We all have different tastes and likes, what is in question is Fight Clubs insane position on a fictional pedastal.

Thats an opinion and everyone, never more so than in here, is entitled to one, perhaps a little less sarcasm though eh?

So i'm not really entitled to my opinion then? I'm entitled to an opinion, just so long as it's bereft of sarcasm? What happens if I've got a kink on the brain and sarcasm is my only form of communication - is that a thing? Can I claim that here? Lighten up, man. I was aiming for light-haeated. I even tossed the word 'nipple' in there for good meassure.

Then I would pity you, being a smart arse is only marginally as severe a peccadillo.

I can assure you I dont need any lightening up at all, I'm just about as easy going as it gets, and adding the word "nipple" to a sentence doesnt make it any less aggresive.

I don't think I'm going to be able to shake the agressive, sarcastic asshole tag with you, least of all because it fits so well, so let's draw a line under it. While I've got your attention though, how do I get myself a little film quote going when I post something? Be warned though, it's coming from the mouth of Pitt, though I'll opt with mangled gibberish from Snatch, to keep the peace

Look at the top right of the screen. It says welcome etc. underneath that it says private messages. click on that and you will go to a screen where you can edit signature. While you are there you can also add an avatar pic and some other useful bits and bobs.

Thanks for writing out the instructions (again).

I've changed the "Forum Rules & Policies" forum to "Forum Rules, Policies & Instructions" and it now contains a thread called "Instructions for Avatars & Signatures". Once we get the menu bar along the top, updating our Profiles should be much easier...
