Default Help

I have searched for fondly remebered films from childhood tv watching and found

A movie about Cult suicide with starskey not Hutch called Attack On Fear (not available anywhere)

A short about a foriegn man locking himself in a phone Booth, La Cabina (on you tube) that made sure I always kept one foot in the door if I had to use one.

A British Transport information film about children playing olympic type games with Trains and losing limbs and their lives , The Finishing Line (available on a Dvd compilation and you tube)

Strangely it was a happy childhood

But I can not find a movie that was probably on Channel 4 with a red triangle in the 80's . The one scene I saw, was I think set in around 17th century (think three musketeers),
A man comes home to find wifey copping off with another bloke. He, I think Runs her through with a sword. Then gives the old man the option to die or chop off his own little fellow!!! which i think he does oh and everythings on fire and it's probably Foriegn language.

Did I dream this?

No trying to google this has acheived results, (even changing euphenism's) I only seem to come across john wayne bobbit!!!

It was an x-men style type film, it had an academy teachers and students, I can't remember how long ago it was but I was thinking about it the other day.

One student had the power to absorb, with no physical changes, but his body had the strength of whatever it was he absorbed. Another was female with super strength I think. One teacher had the sonic voice and that's all about I can remember.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Any help would be much appreciated.
The film you're looking for is Generation X - a made for tv movie using fringe characters from the marvel x-universe;

The fragments of plot I managed to piece together from my back then alcohol raveged teenage brain are as follows:

Its about some guy, who meets this girl, shags her, undergoes some experiment/operation and somehow or other gets his brain/personality swapped into her body.

He wakes up in her body, in some prison(ish) type place, he knows who he is, but has no idea whats happened to his body. Her mind is now gone all together, just his in her body.

Turns out his body is still around only theres some other chap using it, (some corrupt doctor, politician, main evil character).

Anyway, story goes He/she escapes, finds out that He/she is pregnant by himself, finds out what happens to He/she's original body, ends up killing his original male body and is forever trapped in the female body with a kid on the way.

Let me know!
Is it either of these?

From what I can recall it had that straight to video vibe about it and I cant remember a single cast member.
That sounds an awful lot like Memory Run.

For years I have struggled to find the name of a film I watched late one night as a young'un with my big Brother.

It featured a yeti/snow creature type thing and I remember lots of cabins, and woodland.

It also featured camera shots through the eyes of the creature, an effect which was essentially placing a red filter over the screen.

I couldn't even guess the year for the life of me, but I would place it between 1979 - 1989, and if it was more recent than that I would be gobsmacked.

If anybody out there can help me, I'll buy them a pint.

Thanks Compernero,

Just after I posted I took someone's advice and entered "yeti" as a keyword on imdb and found it too.

There really aren't that many yeti films and it's an absolute travesty.

Anyway, I'm off to amazon to grab a copy - hopefully I'll find "Horror Express" too and make it a double bill of 70s kitsch.

Hello! I believe that would be "Night of the Comet"! I watched it a dozen times when I was a kid.

So, this was a thriller/horror movie about ghost's, much like "White Noise" it featured a man who's child had died and he had a tape recorder throughout the film, I think he was some sort of paramormal/ghost writer, he was stuck in one room throughout the film, at one point he had his child (or so he thought) in his arms, then she turned to like burnt ashes and fell to bits, allot of hallucinations and so on going on, also there was a pitcure of a ship at sea on the wall, creeking and swaying, then the whole room flooded with water, at the end of the film he played the tape while sitting in a house he had moved into or was moving out of (boxed up stuff around) and the voice of his child could be heard.

Does that ring any bells with anyone? I have racked my brain but cant come up with the name.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
this sounds like 1408

That's all I can remember. I really want to find this film and watch it again as it is annoying the hell out of me as I can remember very little about it.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? I suppose viking films like that aren't all too common but because I have so little to go on, my search isn't going too well lol

Thanks!
Sounds like Eric the Viking to me
