I couldn't even guess the year for the life of me, but I would place it between 1979 - 1989, and if it was more recent than that I would be gobsmacked.

If anybody out there can help me, I'll buy them a pint.
Yeti / Cabins makes me think of Horror Express with Telly Savalas. I struggled to remember this film but eventually tracked it down a few months back! Mind you, you didnt mention the cossacks bleeding from their eyes, so maybe a different film.

Thought it was called heartbeat but can't find anything like it on Internet. I'm sure it won't be as good watching it today as it was in the early 90's nor will it be available on DVD- maybe on import?? Please help!!
The movie you're looking for is Heartbeeps with Andy Kaufman

Is it me or has this thread descended into chaos where we’re getting users posting answers to unreferenced question many of which have already been answered pages ago???

Default Irony - can't remember amnesia film!

Hey all,

I've been searching for this film for years. I saw it on holiday in Australia while I was flicking channels and really enjoyed it. It's a black and white film, where a man is hit by a car and gets amnesia. He flees the scene and bumps into a woman who offers to help. He's paranoid someone is trying to kill him (concussion!) and she helps him escape. They eventually fall in love, get married, buy a little cottage and have a baby. He still doesn't remember who he is, but he discovers a talent for writing and begins submitting stories/poems and gets asked to go to meet some publishers.

On his way, he is hit by another car and loses his new memories but gets his old ones back. It turns out he was the son of a wealthy industrialist and heir to the throne. He goes home and begins to run the family business. Years pass and when we next see him, his wife is his secretary (he doesn't recognise her though) and she has been for several years - she tracked him down after he went missing, hoping to jog his memory but to no avail, so she works for him to be close to him.

The only thing he has of their life together is the key to their cottage but he can't remember why it's so important to him. Eventually something jogs his memory and he goes back to the cottage - I vaguely remember something to do with cigarettes. Anyway, if anyone can help me, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Cheers!

It sounds like Street of Memories (1940) starring Lynne Roberts and Guy Kibbee, but it was many moons since I've seen this film, so am not sure.

Hi Jonesy,

I've been looking online, and nobody has ANY information about it. IMDB had a poorly written synopsis, something about a fight, but other than that it sounds right. I'm going to carry on hunting to find if this is the right film. Thanks anyway, big help! Much appreciated

Jeez, you do go on a bit!
However, I think I know this one.
It sounds like a Steve Martin/Lily Tomlin comedy entitled "All of me".Very funny film.
Sorry it took nearly a year for me to visit this forum.

It's this!! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0436374/
Not sure if they've remade it, but I saw this only recently so it's fresh in my mind.

It is pretty chaotic. I have edited the posts with 'Name that Film' queries which have been conclusively answered, hopefully that will help.
