I.HATE.CHILDREN/TEENS
An additon: 10) Teens driving cars - something they should not be allowed to do until they are at least 30, particularly teen males. Note to children: Shoving your foot hard down on the throttle when you've only got forty yards to travel until you hit traffic lights, does not make you cool; it just makes you a wanker.

I am glad to say that I am no longer a teen. Doubly glad to say that I don't drive either.

Jonesy;
HELL YES! You are my new god. Today, I was at work. Which is shit because it's bank holiday and I should be in bed. But 10 minutes before closing a woman walked in. She insisted I get her some shoes. SO I did. Then she spent 10 minutes trying on jeans. Despite the fact the announcement kept yelling "The store will be closing in 5/10 delete as applicable minutes" Then, when the announcement said "The store is now closed", she carried on like she never heard it. When one of my collegues went up to her and told her politely that the store was now closed she says "I KNOW! I KNOW!" and carries on. We then told her we could not put anything through the tills as it was now 10 minutes after closing and all the tills had been turned off. So she huffs, and throws the £55 pair of shoes and a pile of jeans onto the floor and stomps out. I wanted to punch her face. If you want to shop in peace and buy stuff, don't come in 10 minutes before closing if you plan to spend 30 minutes to an hour stretching jeans over your fat ass! |

How come? I only get paid until 6pm and she was there way past. We were polite to her. And for a store our size, we can't stay open any longer because of the law on a bank holiday.
I really did want to punch her face. If I had done that then yeah I probably would have been sacked. And thrown in jail. |

Because I wouldn't have had the same level of patience than you had and would have been sacked for telling her where to go and probably throwing the shoes at her

Having worked my stint in retail in the past I have nothing but respect for most people who work in shops. The way you get treated sometimes is shocking.

The majority of the public are rude bastards, I'm so glad I don't work in retail. I have worked in the service industry as an engineer and and that was bad enough, I'm in the same industry but have risen through the ranks to management so they treat you a little better. Don't know how I have reached this far up the ladder due to having the attitude of 'if you don't like it then fuck off'.

I'm with Joe Public on this one. If I see shoes on display, then I'll try them on. What's the difference between putting your smelly feet into a display pair, or putting your smelly feet in a pair the shop assistant has brought out from the back. None whatsoever. And I'm by as heck gonna try those shoes on before I buy the buggers.
If I've ever shopped in Torquay, which I have once or twice, and you and I have come face to face, dude, I was probably one of the very rude ones.
