*heart* I do love a rat!

Lister looks like my baby Louis when he was a kit.
And Rimmer is a darling; he looks like our boy Russel!

Rats are even more exciting when you have 7 boisterous boys running round the bed.

I do keep madagascan hissing cockroaches. I wouldn't say theyre hard to kill but one of ours escaped and lived without food or water for several weeks in my other halfs first aid course folder. He is now named St John. And he is fit and well.

I like rats but they have a tendency of dying all the time. Gerbils and hamsters seem to last a bit longer. I'll see if I can dig out a photo of our (now deceased) rats Layla and Mortimer later.

Our Louis lasted 3 years. Our hamster Gordon lasted around 3 months before he upped and left one day and we never saw him again. No body, no nothing. I guess he just wanted to see the world or something.

Why thank you, dude. He is a splendid specimen, and very large for a tabby, but boy, he's a complete c**t - arrogant and selfish.

That's cats for you. They're all arrogant b*stards!

Tomorrow is my day off so I will be flooding this thread with pics of my ratty men. All 7 of them.

Zippykins, your rats are beautiful. I've yet to keep girl rats. What are they like compared to lads?

Our boys are so boisterous. They're always playfighting and humping each other. So much bromance...
