Angry Back to the Future BluRay boxset sucks.

First of all I have no problem with the 'Back to the Future' films, which I love nor the extras. The thing that pisses me off about these discs is that there is no intelligence programmed into the discs. I'm playing them on a PS3 and have had no trouble with any other films but if I accidently press 'STOP' on the remote I have to sit through ALL of the opening logos and warnings and still navigate with the on-disc scenes menu back to where I started. I can select bookmarks but am unable to activate them anywhere other than on the disc menus. Now when I watched 'The Wolfman' recently I ejected the disc and turned the machine off, came back later re-inserted the disc and it started exactly from the point where I had left off, I had pressed no buttons to save my position and that's a DVD. Made by the same film company.
Universal are the only company whose won't let you use "STOP STOP PLAY" to get you straight into the film. Now they're fucking up Blu Ray. Congratulations you've won I bought you damn film, now can I please just watch it without all the crap in front, like pirate DVD's do.

Yeah, Universal Blu-rays suck. I groan when I see one of their menus pop up and know I have to be careful not to push Stop if I want a cuppa. I won't buy their discs.

Actually I think that the BTTF box set is very good especially when compared to Universal's HD-DVD discs. It's true that their menus can be a little cumbersome compared to slicker ones from other studios, but the overall package is very good. The picture quality is superb for a catalogue release, so much so that it's hard to believe that this movie is 25 years old.

Bought both Kick-Ass And Scott Pilgrim recently and, though i agree the menu systems on universal discs are always slow and unimaginative, the picture quality is ALWAYS incredible. Check out the quality on Apocalypto.

I'm not that bothered about the menus its all about picture quality for me and universal blue rays are brilliant , BTTF box set looks amazing and does not look like a film made over 25 years ago. :-)
