The whole blow-up on the Terminator set has just made me think Mr. Bale is sort of a prissy chump, but I have to put in a good word for
The Machinist. He gave an extremely convincing performance and led the audience very well through his tormented and paranoid mental struggle. I think he gave the movie an extremely tense edge.
But between
The Machinist and
American Psycho, I can't say I've really enjoyed a lot of his other performances. Okay, okay, the twelve year old in me might speak up for
Newsies. >cough cough<
Buy me last pape' sir?
I think the worst performance of all time would have to go to Keanu Reeves in Coppola's
Dracula...another victim of American actor with appalling English accent. Every time he spoke I prayed for Gary Oldman to come into the shot and put him out of his misery.
