Default Offensive ‘views and opinions’ on DVDs?

Has anyone ever been really offended by the views and opinions (i.e. in the commentaries or bonus material such as interviews)?

Every DVD I seem to watch now has a disclaimer on it at the beginning reminding me that the views and opinions are those of the individual speaking and do not represent those of whatever company made the film.

I just wondered if there had ever been a case of someone suing a company because of something they’d heard an actor/director say on a commentary?

Or maybe I’m just not that easily offended.

It's just a standard disclaimer I think, like the All persons fictitious disclaimer at the end of films and TV programmes. I think the most offensive thing in commentaries is the back slapping which goes on, where the actors feel obliged to flatter the director or producer and it's sickeningly sugar-coated and unconvincing. "Bay is sooo much fun to work with/ McG is the Most Amazing Director evah" and so on.

At least no one (to my knowledge) has said such a thing about Uwe Boll

I have a soft spot for Uwe Boll he's like a character from a Wes Anderson film, except he's real, which makes him awesome.

I like the idea of him more than his output, I've never actually seen any of his films, which I'm almost disappointed in myself about.

Most of his films are watchable, just to laugh at how bad they are. You end up thinking, 'If I had been given as much money as he obviously has to make this, I would have done better.'

Although, I implore anyone reading this not to bother with 'Seed' - nothing to do with the overly-hyped 'animal/infant cruelty scenes,' but just because it's the worst film ever made/written/produced.

Stick to House of the Dead or Bloodranye if you want to keep your soft spot for Boll.

In the Name Of The King wasn't THAT bad. Just a bit "Meh"
