The Dandy Warhols

One of my co-workers is playing some of their stuff as the boss is out. Not normally my type of music but I like it.

Porkchopexpress likes this.

Saw them live at Reading '98, one of those life affirming gigs, seeing them play 'Like Herod' in a total trance and being me being pharmaceutically enhanced at the time made for a quasi-religious experience.

One of the greatest bands of all time!

Otherwise been listening to The Gaslight Anthem and reliving my past with a recent Gang of Four and Beastie Boys mp3 retrospective. Bring on the new money grabbing albums, squeeeee!

I also saw them Reading 98, cool. Theyre a band that even after all these years i cannot get enough of. The emotion and drama each song envokes never wears thin, even after 101 plays.

I saw The Gaslight Anthem open at Hyde Park for Pearl Jam last summer, though a friend had recommended them i wasnt sure what the appeal was. Also very much looking fowward to the new Beasites album, have they settled on a release date, i know its been a long time in the wings

I'm a huge fan of music, so i'm a bit sad that there isn't much activity on this thread. So i'm gonna try and kick start it:

Today... I have mostly been listening to:

Arcade Fire - The Suburbs

Quite a few decent bands releasing stuff at the moment, not least the legendary Gang of Four and 'Content'.

Other stuff I've picked up on the cheap and have been molesting my ears include.

Test Icicles 'For Screening Purposes Only'
Gallows 'Grey Britain'
The Futureheads 'News and Tributes'

Also wading through The Streets back catalogue, let's push things backwards!

The Hobbit read by Nicol Williamson. The best book-on-tape of all time. Great story great voice. And it's bloody hard to find it now which makes me feel even better about still having the copy I got when I was a kid.
