Default Opinions - Do you rate this film?

Not sure if this is a good idea or if it will even work (or if anyone will even care), but here goes.

Tomorrow night I'm planning on watching a film before Match Of The Day, haven't decided which yet. I've narrowed it down to:
The Orphanage
Tsotsi
K19: The Widowmaker
Garden State
The Sting
Sweeney Todd
The Great Raid
The Good German

I haven't seen any of them and would like to know your thoughts and which film you'd recommend. I'll go with the majority unless there's a particularly striking case made for one film. Obviously I'll have to get this past Mrs Fett but she does as she's told (for the most part).

If it works this could be a place to put up a few suggestions when you're not sure what to watch and see what the forum thinks. We can all read reviews and research ourselves but it's rather nice to hear what fellow forumites think.

Please offer your feedback and dictate what I'll be watching later. Thank you

The Orphanage is good but does drag a bit at points (just a wee bit though). Garden State is infernal. Natalie Portman has never been more annoying and him off Scrubs should not make another film (unless it's got the janitor in it too). I'm leaning to K19-The Widowmaker, but that's just because I've not seen it either and I've heard it's decent.
Good idea for a thread too.

You've never seen The Sting? I'd recommend that one. A bona fide classic (in my opinion, anyway).

I was looking forward to The Good German...and have to say I was very disappointed in it, found it hard to follow (and I am usually the annoying person who has to explain to everyone else the convuluted plots in movies...so this genuinely was hard to follow), I didn't engage with the characters and apart from this don't really remember much about it at all.

The Orphanage -- what Jeff said, has some style and atmosphere, worth considering
Tsotsi -- haven't seen
K19: The Widowmaker -- ditto
Garden State -- boring as fuck
The Sting -- classic but you may need to be in the mood for it and it'll probably bore Mrs Fett
Sweeney Todd -- boring, with singing
The Great Raid -- haven't seen
The Good German -- struggled with it, a bit self important and black & whitey

The best film review I've read for a long time.

Thanks for all your feedback guys - morris, that review is indeed quality

Typically the wife fancied Garden State but, based on the above, that went out the window. The Sting is definitely on the horizon soon as is K19, but for tonight we're gonna take a trip to The Orphanage.

Muchas Gracias

Glad we paid it a visit. Very creepy and atmospheric and actually rather moving. It does drag a little in parts but still held our interest due to the intriguing story. It has one of the best endings I've seen for a while and, when you realise what happened, is extremely heartbreaking.
Good recommendation chaps
