Lightbulb Idle chit-chat thread #3

Just got back from a special preview showing of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Wizard of Oz at the London Paladium in aid of Great Ormond Street hospital.

Great show and the girl that played Dorothy (Danielle Hope) was superb, what a voice. Michael Crawford is the Wizard/Professor Marvel.

Default Advice please!

Starting a new thread for general non-film help.

Kicking it off with...

My flatmate is moving out next month, and since all the bills are in her name I'm getting them switched over to mine. Only problem being our internet/tv/phone from virgin - if we switch the name to mine it triggers a new 12 month contract. I'm planning to move myself soon so I don't want to be tied into that.

I'm figuring I can just get a cheap freeview box to cover the telly, but does anyone know of any providers who do short term contracts for landline phone/broadband? I could possibly get by using my mobile phone for a while but obviously not very attractive to getting someone else in to rent the other room.

Cheers for any ideas!

Zip.

Your best bet would be sky if you can afford it they giving free set up if you move home. Don't know the in and outs of it but might be worth checking

Yeah might be useful when I move, will defintely be looking to alternatives to Virgin, who can suck it.

Guessing Sky don't do month long contracts though..

Just finished my two weeks jury service and even though I was dreading it, I really enjoyed it. I met some great people and got to find some criminals guilty....which was nice
