Oh yes, I remember seeing pics of her in her ill-fitting WW suit with blue spandex leggings. Fail.

She's no Lynda Carter.

That costume is God awful. Doesn't bode well for the series.
I think I will be giving this a miss.

To be fair to the Wonderwoman actress, she was very good in the superb Friday Night Lights TV show and the makers MUST have responded to the negative feedback those photos generated.
As long as it's not another Bionic Woman then I'll give it a go for a couple of episodes.

I will check this one out, loved her in the cartoon show. The series can't be any worse than Smallville or any of the other dozen scifi soap operas floating around out there.

I actually completely disagree with all of you! lol seriously, I think this is going to be brilliant!
I am a huge fan of the actress and have been for years. She was "the fake Supergirl" in Smallville back when Clark met who he THOUGHT was his Kryptonian cousin but turned out to be his father messing with a human girl, giving her powers and fake memories to try and convince Clark to embrace his destiny... Which was quite a silly plot, but she made one heck of a Supergirl! Then I saw her again as the big bad in the Pilot for the Aquaman series, starring alongside the now Green Arrow actor. She kicked butt so much in both those roles! She also played the iconic character of Jessica Moore in Supernatural. To be fair, her performance in Legion was mostly rubbish, but then so was the film - lol. She is no stranger to "remakes" or "reimaginings", either, as she did the Pilot for the new Lost In Space television series way-back-when. As for the suit, I blooming well love it! What were you expecting, the classic costume from the comic books and the old series? Come on, it is not exactly practical, is it? She would freeze! I am talking realism here. If you are going to be a vigilante crime fighter, you do NOT wear leotards... I have watched some of the set footage posted on YouTube, I have read interviews, etc - I have been keeping a close eye on this series - and although I was sceptical at first (the idea of a vigilante heroine running around a modern city in that classic costume with an invisible jet and a whip made me want to laugh), my hopes are now held high. I am really looking forward to the trailer, and to the Pilot's premiere. Bring. It. On. Ps. Yes, I love the old series and the comics, in case you were wondering if I am someone new to the world of Wonder Woman. |

Adrianne should've played Emma Frost. she would've been better and more fitting in that role than January Jones. she's hot and quite a talented actress, but yeah..she's NO wonder woman. i dunno what they were thinking. of course, she's got the physique for it, but...she's just wrong in that role.
can't wait to see Steven Soderbergh's actioner, Haywire, next year. it's got this former american gladiator chick, GINA CARRANO, a hot looking babe who can actually kick your arse if you do her wrong. i think the role should be played by a good actress who actually is capable of the physical stuff. |
