While I totally agree on Mi3, I enjoyed Star Trek...although its less to do with any skill that could of been involved. It still had all the hallmarks of Abrahms, poor editing, bad direction, and cack-handed action...I still kinda enjoyed it. One of the things that bugs me most about Abrahms is how he seems to be held in such high regard. Everyone is entitled to their opinions of course, but he seems to be a film God to some, and I cant work out what he has done to deserve it.

His films made money. This equates to talent in Hollywood. He's also a 'self claimed' nerd which means all the nerds automatically like him. In fact, he's a just a very canny producer who knows how to sell bullshit.

I've never been a fan either. I think I've read one Tintin book and it was boring. The film hadn't interested me so far either, but I think the trailer looks fun. Maybe.

I can't watch the trailer as I can't be bothered to download quicktime.

Cut, copied and pasted, both into Word and my brain. It will be my standard response when people wax lyrical about him. Nicely put Fool.

Tintin, I'm not sold, yes the talent is, well brilliant, but I've never been a fan of TinTin not to mention films that are entirely Mo-Cap really dont float my boat.
