Jack Nicholson just plays Jack Nicholson in every film he's in? For me in recent times he's a cut and paste actor of limited ability who has made a career out of sheer charisma, which he undeniably has.

His flamboyant mania/sneer style of acting is entertaining enough In small doses, so we'll let him off.
