I remember one story line from Dredd so racist it was untrue, I think he ventured too Mega City Dublin or something, which onvolved driving his Lawmaster over an extraordinarily long bridge to Ireland. Once there, he met an Irish Judge complete with alcohol fetish and potato powered Spud Gun, Colin Farrell in whacked out 'In Brugges' mode would be awesome.

I loved the way Dredd was basically an uncompromising fascist, didn't he used to routinely torture his servant robot Walther? He'd do something dodgy like shoot a Granny in the forehead, but justify it to the letter of the law, not much fun at parties.

I hope they embody that spirit of no compromise, closest thing to that really has been Robocop in recent times, Dredd should have such a stick up his ass that he becomes nearly impossible to root for! Anti-hero bastard Mark 1!

I need to nostalgia buy some collections of Amazon, I'll be right back...

The complete Judge Dredd case files are catching up with the big 90s Stories already. The last one I read had Necropolis in it. They're worth the money. If Dredd gets a sequel I'm pretty sure Chopper will be the antagonist.

Is he the surfer guy?

I remember reading a Bisley drawn series on him when I read 2000AD and some kind of world race, where all the surfers were killed in a variety of ways trying to get to the finish. It was class, ah Bisley, your 'Slaine : The Horned God' series was a total work of art.

*Goes back to Amazon*

Oh yes. The Oz story was excellent and Song of the Surfer is one of the best comics I own. Really enjoyable stuff. It's ridiculously violent and quite moving at the same time.

hope to god this film is better than the first film was. i used to read 2000AD up until 8 years ago when i moved to AUSTRALIA when it became difficult to keep up with it, but keep hoping they do more films for it as it has some really good charactors in it. was totally pissed off with original as within ten minutes dredd had taken off his helmet, wrong move there. sp effects were ok but yeah here's hoping this version is more faithful, wonder if Rogue Trooper giong to get a film or even the ABC Warriors.

ps forgive the spelling

Default They Are Coming

I was looking at the 2000ad site for info on this film, but it's either broken or getting ready to make some kind of announcement.

Does anyone here know whether this has anything to do with the new film?

I was on 2000ad site recently. They've been refurbishing, I think. I know they updated the database section of the site but I'm not sure if the same is happening with the rest of the site.

I recently saw the DREDD film and quite enjoyed it, although admittedly I have never read any issues of 2000AD.

However, wasn't swearing supposed to be illegal (and carry a prison sentence) in Mega City One? Perhaps this may come into force if (hopefully) some sequels are made?
