Hey guys, I am officially back in the office and after catching up on a million things am now uploading submissions again.

I've done two of these today;

http://www.totalfilm.com/donnie-darko
http://www.totalfilm.com/insidious

I'm working through the mountain of submissions I've received after the topic was featured in the newsletter, and so far finding that around 90% of the entries are written as reviews.

If any forum users are waiting for me to get back to them about their entry, perhaps use this time to re-read what you've submitted, check it's all facts and not opinions, and re-submit it.

Also, quite a lot of people sending me emails to my personal address. Please only do this if I request it from now on, as it's hard to keep track of them in my inbox, and I may lose them.

I'm really pleased with the enthusiasm for this, so hopefully by the end of the week I'll have worked through most of the correct ones and people will have a better idea of what we're looking for.

Cheers folks

Dan

I always try to give feedback either way. With the amount of submissions I'm dealing with it could be another week or two before each entry has been read.

Keep your eye on the list of completed submissions to see the quality of the ones I'm uploading and you should get a good idea of what to submit.

Remember, it's a creative synopsis, not a review. Fact, not opinion, be entertaining, be accurate and be under 250 words and you'll be fine

Smile replies to post

hi there

anyone know how long it takes to get a response from a post to the film forum film writing event? I sent off 2 different films in the last 2 weeks but have heard no reply and just wondered if it was a simlair problem or if its just because they are rubbish and have been discarded. Any info would be awesome. cheers

Apparently since the Film homepages were plugged in the newsletter Dan has been swamped with submissions. He gave this reply to someone asking how long it may take to hear back about it.

Cheers.

Might want to proof read the Star Trek one though (and not just my appalling sentence structure in it)

Are homepages still needed? If so, is it the same email address?

Hi Charlie. I'm sorry to say that the homepages have been put on hold for the time being and the email address is out of date.
