Anyhoo, a grey hero is someone who may be doing a good thing fighting/being against the "bad" guy, but his/hers/its motives arent for the greater good but for their own ends. Example, Kratos from God Of War, he is out to kill Zues. Its for the greater good, but his reasons are his own and wether you are good, bad or just in the way, Kratos will tear you a new one and try not to get blood on his tunic.
Ah I see, cheers.

Yvonne Craig actually played Batgirl.

If my theory is right and going on past performance, Tom Hardy's going to take the Batman franchise to new levels........I say bring it on

When I watched The Batman Rises and The Dark knight, all other batman movies were shadowed, those movies were good at their times, but now if I watch it, damn I can't help laughing. And Seriously, nipples on bat suit, freak comedy show. Talking about the villians and batman, i once tried to write something about them in my one article. The Psychology of the Dark Knight I have tried to highlight all the psychological traits of batman and all the villains involved. And yeah, just checked the third trailer of The Dark Knight Rises, seems awesome. Can't Wait.

Just read your piece -- very well done. The flawed nature of Batman/Bruce Wayne is one thing that's kept me to fascinated by Nolan's Batman movies. I don't want a perfect superhero...I want a 'real' one. And I agree w/others who've said Heath Ledger's Joker was THE performance of a lifetime. It still chills me to watch. The Joker forces Batman to make decisions that go against his nature...

(Quote), the Joker: "I took Gotham's white knight and I brought him down to our level. It wasn't hard. You see, madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push!"

Source on this was The Dark Knight Movie Quotes, a pretty nice list of lines that help to explain things.

If a Villain is not as interesting as the Superhero then the interest in the Superhero taking him/her down is almost non-exsitent.

Batman: The Dark Knight was made by Heath Ledgers 'Joker' because he was so sick and masterful that Batman taking him down was much more of a challenge, that ultimately made for a more interesting story.

If it had been the other way around, Batman would be so hard to relate to at his core and with comic books/films that would be counter-productive.

At points in the new Amazing-Spiderman, it's the lack of an interesting Villain that makes the main-plot fall flat, especially in comparison to some of Nolans evil creations.
