I watched a bit of the riot one out of curiosity and because I naively, it seems, expected there'd be at least one parent who'd be like: I'm surprised and shocked and disappointed in my kid. I'm ashamed of what they've done and of being their parent. But nothing even close. They treated it like a little joke or passively approved.
I guess I'm out of touch with the current permissive way of parenting. I'm from a generation where if you did something like that you'd get a bollocking from your dad. I'm old.

Full rant mode. Went to local screening of the girl with the dragon tattoo tonight. Smallish screen 150 people no more than that. Why can't some people shut the fuck up for couple hours. I lost the rag with some women sitting beside me "who is that???"

Every 30 seconds. I lost it with her after half an hour. Her husband started on me. He got a swift fuck off as well. I didn't pay good money to watch a film I've wanted to see for ages to have your wife ruin it because you don't have the ball or spine to tell her to shut up. I heard them talking about me when I got up to leave. So I turned round smiled and kept on walking. Pricks. He said something about me not being from round here only 30 years you old twat. Bet its longer than you

Talking of selfish, wanker parents. Got on the bus after a long day at work and a school disco the other day with Tom. Some parent gets on with 3 shit kids, a daughter who must have been no older that 3 with a voice like Brian Blessed, and some little scrote son who decided the best way to pass a 20 minute bus journey was to make fart noises with his MuckDonalds balloon. First by getting his fecking skank saliva all over it, then by releasing the air by squeaking directly into Toms ear. The mum had the look of someone for whom this was perfectly acceptable behaviour, regardless of an entire bus load of work-wankered people who thought differently.

Can someone tell my why a guy would try to drag out a (first) date when it's already painfully obvious that we have NOTHING in common and then even ask what we were going to do next Saturday? I know what I'm going to do next Saturday; it doesn't involve you in any way Sparky, and feel free to never tell me what you did that day.

Asking me what I do and used to do for a living, commenting on my CV of music->movies->sports->movies & TV with 'you must know a lot of weird people' and then not getting my 'you're talking about my friends and chosen family here' as the warning it was meant to be didn't show much brains either.

Seriously though, is it to be the poor guy who got sent packing or are some people really that oblivious?
