I always thought that Charlie Dance was the synthetic in Alien3. It would have been a great reveal after his dodgy programming got him shipped to the colony. He also had motivation to befriend Ripley and keep her alive until the Company show up.
I refuse to accept anything beyond the Alien trilogy. That includes the badly scripted prequel. |

When I saw this on the big screen I was honestly mesmerized. I recall hearing that David Fincher was this hot shot video/commercial director so I was curious to what he would do.
The opening sequence with Eliot Goldenthals score was breathtaking, even if the script did kill off characters that were so beloved in Aliens. From there I thought it lagged in times when dealing with the prisoners and their philosophy, but otherwise it was a noble effort overall to return back to the franchise's claustrophobic roots. I think Fincher deserves more credit as the only faults with this were mainly with the script. But otherwise what an awesome ending. |
