Default Alex Zane?

Really? Do we really need the male Ferne Cotton on our website/forum/mag?
I'm trying to not be offensive, I'm sure as a person hes not a massive personality vacuum

Default He's the only reason I joined this site...

..to let the Total Film 'powers that be' know they will no longer be getting my patronage. (sure they don't give a flying toss but if enough people feel as strongly as I...)

I've been buying TF since the first issue and breaking up is so hard to do but if you employ Alex Zane in your magazine it's quite easy.

I'm sure I won't be the only one. Whoever at Total Film had this brainwave needs a stern talking to about who their readership actually is because it's obvious they haven't a clue.

I can only hope a backlash will force a rethink and I can come back. (God knows how long they've signed him up for >shivers<)

How long do you have? Or are TF attempting to get the attention of the lowest common denominator? Either way its a bad, bad sign.

Good point. Although, its hard to know exactly who he appeals to. People who read Heat/OK/Hello/FuckOff?

I have nothing against him personally. It's just why!? Why would you do this? Why not get someone in who has a genuine interest in movies, has something interesting to say and who can write.

This just smacks of desperation.

Nearly as annoying as having that crap comedienne (or whatever she is) presenting Film 2012. I've seen Zane review films on Sky Movies and he's a bit crap. More suited to The Sun than Total Film.

Tbh having The Expendables 2 as the cover story for an issue is a bad, bad sign.

Actually I don't mind Alex Zane. At least the column is funny (ish). I don't want pofaced puff pieces and I am sure he appeals to more than just the narrow demographic who uses this site.

I'll admit I was slightly miffed when they included him but my philosphy is, "It could have been worse."
