Default Which actor has saved the world the most?

In the real world of normal every day folks, off the top of my head, I'd probably say will smith

Once in independence day, again in I am legend and then again in I am robot

And, he wasn't a super human in any of them, or had any magical powers or the like because all of the peeps he played could, even by today's standards, be considered viable members of the public

So the current record is 3

I should really open it up to super humans and aliens and all that sort of stuff, so you could try that too

Yes, I'm bored

Default Sean Connery?

I'd argue Sean Connery might be a better place to start.

Six times as James Bond. Then again in Meteor, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Harrison Ford: Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, Clear and Present Danger and some crap about a religous war in space (Hollywood is really out of ideas).

Shatner saved the world a few times too. Does it need to be our world because Star Wars wouldn't count if it did

Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's saved the world in from terrorists (Collateral Damage, True Lies), alien hunters (Predator), cyborgs (Terminator 2 & 3), Satan (End of Days), clones (The 6th Day). He's saved mutants on Mars (Total Recall). Man,he even saved Christmas in Jingle All the Way!

The Predators were never planning to take over the world though. They just turned up for some game hunting every few decades. I understand Independence Day, Deep Impact, Star Trek, a couple of James Bond films. Physically saving the planet and the entire human race doesn't happen that often in films.

So does that mean Bruce Willis gets a nod for Armageddon then?

And, now I'm thinking about it, Will Smith shouldn't get all the credit as Jeff Goldblum comes up with the idea for Independence Day doesn't he?

My original reasoning is starting to show some fatal flaws now

Star Wars doesn't count does it? That's not even our planet. It's a different galaxy.
