The type of British film we need more of, as opposed to Keith Lemon the film, anything with Danny Dyer and the upcoming crappy looking St George's Day (which they showed a trailer for before this).
I had it in my head that this was based on a true story but I don't think that's actually the case. I suppose possibly influenced by true events. In a nutshell a young women turns informant on her IRA friends and family. The story keeps you guessing and Andrea Riseborough gives a great central performance. |

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you put. I don't understand why so many indie, foreign, or British films are sidelined for crap like those "hard men" movies. I have seen around 120 movies this year and the ones I have avoided are movies like St Georges Day (the trailer was bad enough) Clean Skin, although I did see Offender, it wasn't very good.
Shadow Dancer was fantastic, an emotional and intelligent spy thriller and I agree, Andrea was fantastic, shes come a long way since being a main cast member in Being Human's original pilot. |
