But I still use them because I can't be arsed with ebay, having to keep eye on auctions etc.

They have started a direct trade thing which might be more what you're after.. but it's currently accepting only books and video games.
When you factor in ebay's fees and charges now, plus the paypal cut, there's very little difference. Less hassle on Amazon.

Exactly. I like using amazon because I can list things and forget about them until they sell. With ebay I feel like I've got to keep an eye on things.

To answer your initial dilemma, why not just spend the approx amount you've made from selling? I do

If any of them are textbooks etc Fortunes check if they will buy them from you. Payment in Amazon credit. Sold a few uni books a couple of months ago.

Just sold a couple Zippy. They're giving you an extra £5 gift voucher if you trade in over £10 in books. Score.

If you want something in a hurry -- Do NOT go with Zavvi.

I ordered from them 7 working days ago, and all the site shows for order status is "Processing" = sitting on our butts doing fuck all.

Yeah, terrific. AWESOME service.

Ordered Jaws on blu ray (steelbook) last week expecting it to be despatched on Monday when it was officially released but as yet still no sign of it. Go on Play's site and its out of stock. I could have bought the same item from my local HMV on Monday. I've sent Play.com an email but no reply from them as yet. They have gone downhill ever since they were bought by the Rakuten group.

I have had experience with both companies and, for me, they are probably equal in terms of choice and service.

However, if I had to choose I would go for PLAY.COM, which I have been using the longest, and on which I have sold many items to date as well.

I have not tried selling anything on AMAZON yet, although this is something I will certainly look into in the future.

I used to love Play. I don't like how they are starting to sell other, non film/TV/game related products, though.
