Damon Lindelof has written a 'secret project' for Disney going under the title of 1951. It's a huge cross-platform project (comics, sequels, theme park rides etc) for Disney and is to be directed by Brad Bird.

Coincidental?

A Damon Lindelof Star Wars movie????

Agreed, they're a pair of nauseating little upstarts. Still, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was true. I reckon they're natural successors to Lucas, for all the good and bad that implies.

I'm optimistic. Star Wars is what it is, pulp sci-fi. I love the original films, but they are what they are. Lindelof being involved would be a poor choice, he cant write for shit, as proven recently. However until that is confirmed I will be looking forward to anything new in the "Wars" universe. I have also found the childhood rape crap rather funny, what wouldnt you sell for $4.1 billion? Most of us on here, well all of us, would gladly admit that the original trilogy are average films. However, to me and many others, they are huge amounts of fun set in a universe thats easy to escape in. The characters are easy to invest in, a great boohiss set of baddies, a superb mythology and the coolest weapon in the known universe. I will be hoping for more of the same missing only the rose tinted specs.

Hahaha. J.J. Abrams has been confirmed as the director of the next Star Wars movie. Wonder how much lens flare you get from a light saber?

That's not official. Just a rumour that's spread like wildfire.

I hope it's not true though. I mean, how many franchises are team abrams planning on screwing up?
