That explains a lot actually. The site takes forever to open up.

I don't know why agencies even book pop ups. Thanks to pop up blockers both at the office and at home I haven't seen one in years, so why waste precious budget on it? Then again, I'm not marketing films for a living - oh, wait I actually do

Sorry. Again. Unfortunately the TF guys can do nothing about these pop-ups. The ads guys decide what ads go where...

However I will flag that the speed of the site seems to be affected.

Default Please stop scaring me Total Film

Total film, what is with these adverts you've got on your site?

As if the ones that fill up your whole screen and make you look for about 2 minutes tring to find the X button weren't annoying enough, you've now got some crazy video game advert that scares the crap out of people?!?

I think it was called 'Far Cry' and it had some massive head just pop up on my screen and shake about for a few seconds before dissapearing again. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out where it came from, I thought my computer had a virus or something!

What kind of advertising method even is that? Is it meant to scare you into buying the game? Jeez Louise...

I know, it's hideous. We've had many annoying ads, this one takes the prize for most UGLY pop-up ever.

The first pop up looked like an ad for Taxi Driver but it was over faster than Tyler Durden so I wasn't overly worried.

The next pop up was for some sort of laptop that went bouncing across my screen. Again, no sweat.

But then I pressed on a link to a thread topic and all of a sudden I was buying an Acer laptop.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed this, I had visions of a royal pop up starting, seeing as they haven't been in the news recently.

These pop-ups are really becoming annoying now. I thought ads like these were eliminated from respected sites in 2008?

Please may I register a complaint about that awful pop-up with Denzel Washington in it? It's as persistent as a blow fly and about as welcome. It follows me everywhere on this forum, even getting in the way of doing a PM.

Plus it's making the forum pages really slow to load and buggy

I couldn't click on the pop ups thread because of the pop ups. I just kept getting Denzel instead.
