Happiness. Had to watch this in Film Studies for shocking cinema. It was hard to watch in parts for the themes involved and the conversations throughout made me wince. Was a good film but a bit too disgusting in parts. 7/10.

Definately Maybe.
Im not really sure why I watched this. My GF had it on loan from the DVD rental and I was bored. Watched it objectively but I found it really flat. The plot was ok but the acting was below par all the way. Rachel Weisz was AWFUL, terribly miscast and seemingly embaressed to be in it. I also thought it was a bit too contrived. Even for a girlie oriented movie Ive seen a lot better. 2/10 Im afraid.

Hulk. I still enjoy it, but the entire movie feels weak in comparison to the final 20 minutes and as a whole, the film allows me to appreciate The Incredible Hulk as nothing short of better. 3/5

Taken - which i thought was an excellent film. i felt it was what would have happened if Jason Borne had got married, had a daughter, got old, retired and then had his daughter abducted. the fight scene's were ace, deaths by digger and the bottle deaths were awesome
i liked Neeson in this, felt he palyed the part well.****

Burn After Reading
I had heard good stuff about this film so I had expectations, and was highly disappointed by it. It was supposed to be a comedy and just...wasn't that funny. I felt myself slowly tiring of the plot and the characters, and regret spending money on watching it. |

Crimes Of The Future.
And I saw Stereo last week. Kim Newman pretty well hit the nail on the head when he described them as "interesting but boring". |

this week i got to view SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL(IMAX).
(two completely different genres of film). So to the first a film by danny boyle and another visual feast by a great director.a feast of visually beautiful shot scenes...and a story that is a roller-coaster of a journey...from intense, awkward silence to heart-racing action, this film has something for all...drama,romance,tragedy,happiness and a story of love;love to endure....A MUST SEE!!!! the latter a typical remake... money spent vastly on some good special effects which may cloud the messages of the film and why the update of a classic was but to subtlely tell mankind to change before it destroys itself!!! if lucky enough to live near an IMAX cinema go so it in this format.... |

The Dark Knight, saw it at the cinema and had it recently for Xmas. Pure brilliance. People go on about how good Heath Ledger is as the Joker, great performance I'm not disagreeing, but would he have got such an appraisal if he hadn't have died?
Overall this is as the Batman franchise should be, dark, gritty, funny at specific times and deep! 5 out of 5! I'm sure many of you will agree! |

The problem with any Coens' film is that there unique, exceptional to any other film you could vaguely compare them to, so if you go into it expecting an average comedy filled with **** jokes and Ben Stiller pouting you'll get a much more subtle film, that builds up to the gags and lays them on you when you least expect it resulting in pure genius. George Clooney's passive cop was excellent, Mcdormand was great if not slightly dull and Brad Pitt is the funniest thing the Coens' have pulled off since Nick Cage stole a pack of nappies. John Malcovick was to good to mention. I am not worthy. As for regreting paying to see a film, I was dragged into 10,000 BC... Kill me now.
