I'm looking forward to it. Good horror is all too rare these days.

The Collection - above average horror that does what it says on the tin and contains some inventive juicy deaths. *Spoiler* {the threshing machine was cool} Only real complaint, it was very short.
Total Recall - piece of shite I got 30 mins in and quit. |

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Just watched it on the big screen at Vue. Still as good as I remember. 4.5/5

The Shrine-Distincly average Canadian horror film. The start is really boring but towards the end it makes up for it 2.5/5
Funny Games US-The American remake of Funny Games. Surprisingly good. A difficult watch but the main cast are fantastic Tim Roth is great and that wee guy who didn't play Kurt Cobain in that film that wasn't about Nirvana is really good too. Even Naomi Watts who I usually don't have time for puts in a cracking performance. Disturbing but good. 3\5

That film just didn't make sense, never got going, and wasted my Saturday night a few weeks ago.
On the other hand, I've now been to see Man of Steel twice now, and it's even better the second time around ![]() Too early for spoilers but the film makes sense, and a second viewing makes sense of the first viewing, if that makes sense ![]() Also watched After Earth, it was OK, headed south in the middle before sort of gaining a bit before tailing off at the end. You never ever think they've cast the right people for either role though. But I saw both films with my son, and it sort of makes sense as a father/son bonding thing so I won't be too harsh on the Smiths ![]() |
