Thumbs up Are you kidding?!

I disagee with your review and got to say that it has brought the franchise back to what the original story was. Of course the story has gone in a slightly diffent direction, they had to because this is a story about the war! T1 and T2 are all stories trying to prevent he war and 3 was just a mistake. The fans wanted to see the war, and it may not be n the same level as T1 but it is a start, and they can't give you too much in he beggining or they'll have nothing else to tell.
And the whole thing with Marcus was great, the fact that he chose to betray his programming and help Conner, showed that the notion of choice and free will is what actual makes you human. Eventhough Bale is Conner he is not the main charactor, he is a low level officer which I thought was a great decision. This is because it allows the writters to develope his charactor and show the auidience how he became this great military leader.
This is the beginning of a great story and I can't wait for the next chaptor.

'Terminator Salvation'

I'm still not over my initial disappointment at the end product here, effects are decent, but the editing is so awful in places that it really jars, plus I can not recover from the stupid jump from the helicopter. WORST, SCENE, EVER!

A lot of praise was dumped on Worthington for this film and it's a fairly decent performance, if you can ignore his accent slipping. But for me Yelcin's Kyle Reese is perfect and is a redeeming feature, Bale's Connor is one note as is the resistance angle as whole really, barely even a sub-plot.

A missed opportunity of hype over substance, it would have been a much more satisfying viewing experience if the makers hadn't revealed Worthington's 'secret' in the trailers.

2.5/5
