Shame too, as it would of been fitting if it was a good film as Ledgers last performance.
The Dark Knight was Ledger's final performance.

cos I said so.

I'm sure you're right but tbh, the man was not well. Did you see any of the off camera candids of him at the time? He looked really ill. I think we should remember him for his seminal role as The Joker.

I don't plan to see Imaginarium because Gilliam films usually bore me.

I like your thinking Cat!!!
And yes Gilliam bores the pants off me too, I struggle to find the reason that he has any hype about his films at all, I quite liked 12 Monkeys and thats about it.

The Illusionist

Nice short little animation about a French stage illusionist who comes to Scotland. As an Edinburgh resident it was lovely to see my city on screen in such a way.

The Hide.

It's a british film with only two actors based on a stage play set in a birdwatchers hide. A very very good film. The only set they have is literally the bird hide and a little bit of the outside of the hide for brief moments. The whole film is just two actors and the occasional voice on a cb radio.

Well worth a watch a perfect for illustrating a film that focuses on actors performance and not on set or props.

The Kingdom

Blind buy on Blu-ray, great picture quality and I really enjoyed the film. I think it is even worthy of a second viewing.

Goldeneye.

The best of the "old skool" Bond films. The film is packed with some great characters; Sean Beans boo-hiss Traitor Alec Trevelyn, Robbie Coltranes actually funny semi-bad guy, and best of all, Famke Jansons brilliantly named Xenia Onatopp, a last name that Bond even raises an eyebrow over, the near orgasm she has everytime she kills anybody is hilarious, a real delight to watch. The film also has some great stunts too, the Damn Jump at the beginning is amazing, And the set pieces are all top notch, well in a Bond sort of way, it has plenty of daft moments, but somehow they all feel in place in this universe, of course things got poor from here on in, culminating in the insane invisible car and Tidal wave surfing in the abysmal Di(r)e Another Day.
Still, this is the best way to remember the old Bond, if indeed you wish to. The best (IMO) of the pre-Craig reboot, filled with great characters, a proper Bond-baddie, and some great action, top stuff.

4.5/5

The shot where Bond throws himself down a flight of steel steps is still one of the most jaw dropping things i've seen in the cinema. It's up there with the Bourne window jump for me.

Piranha 3D.

Just the right length and enough laughs and gross moments to justify the price of admission. Christopher Lloyd scenes are the best.

Moon (finally)

Brilliant. Wears its influences on its sleeve but still manages to feel fresh and original.
