Amityville Horror Remake.

It is a dreary and unscary film. When I watched it I was actually expecting it to be quite scary but it's scary in the way that the modern versions of The House on Haunted Hill and 13 Ghosts are scary. ie not.

Please Give - good performances, and some genuine laugh out loud moments, this is a well-made light-hearted drama. Recommended for a Sunday afternoon.

'Push'

Wow, how did I miss this the first time round? Picked up this riff on super heroes for £2 in ASDA and I was very impressed, gorgeous visuals, great action and a plot so twisty it makes 'Inception' look positively pedestrian.

Although the plot gets away with itself sometimes with one too many rug pulls and they gather in pace as the film reaches it's climax, which ultimately lessens their impact.

Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning are great value for money as a double act, but Digimon really is quite limited in a villainous role.

Confusing, myriad, thrilling and adrenaline pumping in equal measure, the film X-Men should have been!

4/5.

Default Paris, Texas.

This film came as a reccomendation from a friend, something I'm often wary of but in this case it was an absolute Godsend. Stunning photography, strong performances and I found it warm yet heartbreaking all at the same time.

Need to watch more of Wim Wenders' flicks now!

i felt like I should like and admire this but I was left a bit indifferent to be honest. For some reason I felt like it would have worked better as a multi part TV drama or something.

Jacki Weaver as Grandma Smurf was a fairly terrifying lady, well portrayed.

Oldboy

Finally got round to watching this after having it on the 'to see' list for ages. I was rather impressed. Is the rest of the vengance trilogy worth a watch too?

We followed this with The Hangover, which is even less funny than I remember the first time round.

Absolutely. Sympathy For Mr Vengence is awesome. Lady Vengence is also good but confused the hell out of me.

And, though its not part of the vengence trilogy, if you are enjoying your Park Chan Wook, i highly recommend seeing Thirst.

I didnt rate Thirst at all frankly. It SHOULD have been good and yet for some reason it left me cold. I might need to rewatch it but to be honest the prospect doesnt inspire me to do so.
