Not sure if it's any help but most of TFs reviews of these films are available in the reviews section of the main web site.

LordBarker, I should be able to help you source the issue numbers for these reviews and possibly scanned copies of most of these reviews. I'm on holiday until Weds. I'll check back in when I get home to see if you still need help...

Hi LordBarker,

Here we go...

Marcus Nispel's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) was reviewed in issue 81, approx. I'm sorry to say that's not 100% definite (it may have been 80 or 82) and I don't have a copy.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) was reviewed in issue 122. I have a copy and would be happy to scan it and email it to you.

Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007) was reviewed in issue 135. I have a copy and would be happy to scan it and email it to you.

Dennis Ilidas' The Last House on the Left (2009) was reviewed in issue 156. I have a copy and would be happy to scan it and email it to you.

Marcus Nispel's Friday the 13th (2009) was reviewed in issue 153. I don't have a copy but issue 152 refers to the film being reviewed in the next issue.

If anyone could let me know of any other issues with features on these horror remakes that'd also be ace.
Issue 122 also contains a 5 page Halloween special feature, which includes 2 pages of Gunnar Hansen reviewing the whole franchise. Happy to scan and email this too.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you'd like the reviews and feature scanned.

Liz

Hi moonwatcher,

Did you have any takers on your magazine collection?

If you are going to chuck them, is there any chance you could save a couple?

I've been helping another using source particular reviews for their PhD:
http://www.totalfilm.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16451

I've been up in my loft and found 3 of the 5 issues he needs.

He's also after the review of Marcus Nispel's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), which I think is in issue 80 (or thereabouts).

And the review of Marcus Nispel's Friday the 13th (2009), which should be in issue 153.

Would you be able to check for those 2 reviews and confirm which issues they are in.

But it would be great if you could actually save the two issues containing those reviews. I could send you a pre-paid envelope for you to post them to LordBarker.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Liz

I've also contacted another user, moonwatcher, about issue 80 and 153. They were planning on throwing out their magazine collection if nobody wanted it:

All emailed across to you. I sent them separately (5 emails) as they were quite hi-res scans.

I'm just waiting to hear back from the mag team about the Friday The 13th review. I've asked for a pdf but failing that I've asked for confirmation of issue number, issue date and page number. I figure that info in conjunction with the online review (which is taken from the mag) should be sufficient in terms of citing the source.

No cash required. Knowing I've helped is enough.
