I just thought that. The big presidential speech is Morgan Freeman at the end of Deep Impact, isn't it? 2012 has all the earthquakey goodness though.

Possibly Megafault or Stonehenge Apocalypse. Possibly.

Megafault looks remarkably like the film, except I seem to remember this one having a slightly higher budget. In addition, the fault ended up so big that the USA was visibly divided in two from space (as shown by a camera shot of the earth) and I still think the aforementioned presidential speech is in there (suggesting the cause was something to do with the way we currently live our lives... or something).
It definitely wasn't 2012. Other than this rather large crevice, there are basically no aftereffects to the disaster that I recall. It is possible it was the end result of a larger disaster that was mainly averted.

I cant remember anything about the film other than this black box was used to keep someone outside so they couldnt communicate with anyone, the box was made out of some alien tech that was built out of these black bricks that join together.

Theres a twist involving the box i think where someone was able to get inside and speak to the person.

It might of been Thor but i cant be certain.

I hope someone can tell me this movie's name-it was hilarious! It's about 3 brothers-youngest a teen, middle has a paper route,maybe in20's, oldest is gay and maybe30's. Two sisters,youngest cute longhaired blonde teen with Tourettes (uncontrollable cursing), older 20s to 30s, appears normal. Girls mom has altzheimers, I think. Girls dad recently died. Dad was middle brothers paper route customer; left clue that makes brothers believe there is a fortune in gold buried with him , this is movie's premise. Funny scenes include gay brother cutting off youngest brothers finger for smoking crack with Tourettes girl, older sister steps in and says crack is only drug that controls disease.Effeminate gay partner finally punches out middle brother for being a jerk.Thanks for any help!
