Default Best TV/Radio critic - Kermode?

I absolutely adore Mark Kermode, I think he's witty, intelligent, passionate and articulate. I don't always agree with his views but he sure as hell makes good points. My mate on the other hand can't stand him and prefers Charlie Brooker and Roger Ebert. So, I was just wondering if it was just me who is a Kermode cheerleader or am I one of many?

By the way, his book is definitely a must read!

I don't particularly like the man - he's too smug for his own good - but I respect his filmic knowledge, even if he does rate Mamma Mia and think The Exorcist is the best film ever made.

I like Kim Newman. Yes I know he writes for that other mag. but the guy is a true eccentric with an inordinate love of trashy horror movies and is a cult film devotee. That makes him more than ok in my book.
