I'd second all of those, with a special nod to The Dark Knight. Despite a limpid and unnecessary half hour at the end (it sort of deflates after The Joker is taken out of action) it has a pristine and sparkling transfer which is a joy to behold.
Avatar also looks mighty fine and the colours pop like crazy.

Not a huge Pixar fan, but Dark Knight and Iron Man are added to my list. Might rent Zulu to compare it, and Avatar just to see what all the fuss is about.

If you want a film to show off your blu ray to its best buy The Fall. Its quite a good film as well.

Dark City. They've done whole new effects for the fight at the end but this film even looks amazing on VHS. Beowulf. Not a great film but reasonably enjoyable nonsense and looks great. This along with the Pixar films (Monsters Inc., Wall E and especially Up) are the only animated movies I could currently recommend on Blu Ray.

I agree. You should check out Up and Monsters Inc. too. I watch these three more than any of my other Blu-rays because my jaw hits the floor every time. They look so good. Even the slightly out dated Monsters Inc.

I've got Up and Monsters Inc, both are just stunning and I love Monsters Inc it's one of my faves. I think I enjoy it more than the kids

I think animation shows what blu-ray is capable of. I have Planet 51, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs and Monsters V Aliens all of which are top quality in the picture department.

It does, particularly the first part of the film which is set in the garbage wasteland of Earth. Once it goes up into space, it's not as rivetting somehow. Still entertaining, but I feel the best part is over.

I agree, the first part is better than the 2nd.
