Question Which movies are your "hidden gems"?!

We all have movies that we champion and we often feel like we champion them alone. They rarely get featured in critics’ lists, box office lists and may even get featured in worst movie lists.

What are your hidden gems?!

One of mine is Equilibrium, it got a lot of bad reviews but there is something about it that has made me watch it quite a few times. Maybe its because its got the George Orwell 1984 thing about it? I loved the Gun Kata and thought that it looked original.

Local Hero.

I LOVE everything about this movie. Its how films should be made. Wonderful cinematography, brilliant acting and.....its just so really really good.
it never seems to get the attention it deserves and although critically lauded it still isn't given enough respect.

Both good shouts - Equilibrium is a strange one, as quite a few people i know like it, as do I, yet it neither semed to be a critical or a commercial success.
The first on my list is The Gambler: not the Kenny Rogers one, but the James Caan movie from 1974. I think it is one of the best movies about addiction I have seen and the ending is an absolute stormer! I'm reviewing my hidden gems on my blog and I will also post within the film review section here.
The next one on my list is:
Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai

hawktheslayer, welcome to the forum. For your info, you are allowed to put a link to your blog in your signature if you wish (like Zippykins and others have done). It is preferred that you do it that way rather than inserted in each post.

I was just pondering whether mine should be there - thanks for clarification!

For me the hidden gem has to be Office Space. A great story and well acted throughout. I would love to be able to walk into work and treat my boss the way Ron Livingstone does in the film. And as for his neighbour? Quality.
