Ive just purchased the three Mariachi films in a 3 film set. Upon playing the first " El Mariachi" I found that it automatically loads with the directors commentary on. Ive tried to clear it but to no avail. Worse still the commentary overides the soundtrack so I cannot enjoy the movie. Anyone else had this happen and found out how to shift it ?

i brought that dvd aswell but not encountered this problem. there should be a option in scene selection or special features or an audio button on your dvd controller that can change the audio. or if you're using a computer then there should be an option in your video player to change the audio.

Ok this is annoying. The feckin disc plays fine on my DVD player at home. It still starts with the commentary on but at least it can be switched off. Still steadfastly refuses to play on our work DVD though. Thing is the other two discs play fine on both machines.

At least I now know that Im not alone and that there IS a problem with the disc. I dont suppose we should complain though , after all its not as if DVDs are expensive for what they are and Hey, its just "one of those things" that we should learn to live with.
Feck em.

I had this exact same problem when I first bought my copy. The problem is that the disc is pre set to load the english language of the film which means you get the commentary. What you have to do is switch to the spanish audio setting (which is the original film's audio) and turn on english subtitles. Audio should then work fine from then on.
