Default Super Street Fighter IV

I felt like delving back into fighting games, this seemed like the perfect excuse. £19.71 instore at Asda for a game that hasn't even been out a full week, delicious.

And I've already managed to blister my thumb from trying to nail down combo patterns and directional inputs. Yeah.

Anyone else bought it? It's a steep climb if you're new to the series (which I am) but is endlessly rewarding, getting into the flow of battle really feels rewarding and nailing a quality hit as a mate goes silent over the headset is a terrific feeling. Which unfortunately I haven't experienced all that much as I'm several shades of shit at it. But still, the thought of it is warming.

Yeah I got it release day, its utterly brilliant.
SF4 was almost the perfect fighting game, this is somehow better. I always worry with new characters join a balanced fighter, but they all have a place in the roster.
The more you play Silly, the more it pays, jusy when you think you have got to know a fighter a whole new level of tactics opens up (cross ups and EX cancles are brilliant tools when you learn them) and Ryu's new Ultra (Metso Shoryuken) is a fookin fabulous move, ultra cool.

Here it is...

Thinking about it so is Fei Longs Gekirinken.

And here that is...

Yeah, I'm getting into the groove with it, feels good man. Potentially hours of entertainment with the online features, and then there's Arcade Mode to hone my (weak) skills).

My advice, and I've been playing Street Fighter since 1989, is to find a player you like and stick with him/her, the more you learn about your person the more ass you will kick...also try and avoid getting good with the usual suspects, Ryu, Ken, Guile, Sagat and Akuma, everyone who plays online knows their moves and foibles, go for someone like Fei Long, Guy, Ibuki, Gouken, people along those lines. If you really wanna test yourself get good with Gen, his learning curve is off the scale, but anyone good with him can clean up anybody.

I do enjoy playing as Ibuki, terrific speed and a nice variety of attacks. I can't actually pull off any charge attacks so the chances of me learning Guile, Bison and others is pretty unlikely.

El Fuerte is a laugh, though you have to be absolutely on edge to play as fast as he moves.

lol, yeah charge moves take a bit of getting used to, but when you do they can be devastating, mixing Guiles Sonic Boom animations with charging his Flash Kick can be a great combo.

lol, El Fuerte is great fun to control, reverse quater circle then circle straigh away is a great move, always catches people unaware!!

Silly, do you have this on the 360 or PS3? if its the PS3 i will back online soon, add me if you like thedude4000
