Default Best Actor/Director partnerships

Who do you think, it can be long term cohorts or that sparkling one off, so is it Scorsese and DeNiro, or maybe Cameron and Biehn?

I'm gonna go for the obvious choice and say DeNiro and Scorsese, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Mean Streets and Goodfellas are all top favourites of mine and some of the best films (IMO) I have ever seen.

Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands. I found Winona's performance as Kim incredible considering at the beginning of the movie, her character had to show a real hatred towards Edward even though Ryer and Depp were actually dating at the time the movie was shot!!

Haha... Whoops!! Read the title of this forum wrong!!

On the note of Edward Scissorhands, how can I not mention Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's partnership...???
