Ever had a scene that jars so terribly on screen that it really ruins the entire film, it could be a scene in any film, I'm not talking about suspension of disbelief on its own, just something that makes you want to tear your eyes out haha.
In a metaphorical sense. My own scene is really from 'Terminator Salvation', after enjoying the opening action sequence immensley and enjoying all this future mythos on screen. John Connor then decides the best course of action is to jump out of a helicopter, nearly a kilometre above a rampaging storm in the middle of the ocean, heavily laden down with weapons and ammunition. All in the vain hope of a deep sea submarine sending frog men to him before he drowns or freezes or is eaten by Termidolphins. I know it's slightly stupid to complain about something like this in the middle of a Terminator film, especially as there is some truly awful editing in the Goodblood/Worthington scenes. But John Connor jumping out of that helicopter is so many kinds of suicide it's ridiculous. Just my opinion. There's also the magical labrador in the subway sequence in Independence day, where not only does he jump through a door, but said door also miraculously closes and stays on its hinges in the middle of an extra terrestial firestorm from hell. But hey, that is Independence day. ![]() |

Those two are pretty good, I also like, or rather loath, the truck surfing in DieHard 3, just plain old fucking daft.

Last House is an awful film anyway. Its the most undeserving movie ever to have gathered a reputation.

The 'money shot' in Cloverfield where Hud turns round and a monster the size of a block of flats is stood behind him. It might sound a little petty but it actually totally ruined the film for me. I enjoyed Cloverefield until I think the last 10 minutes, then the film makers decided that I should be completely ok with the idea of a monster, the size of a block of flats, being able to sneak up on someone...

No ones mentioned the Nuking the Fridge scene in the last (non-existent) Indy film?
Or the monkeys? Or the aliens? |
