The great Vincent Price would have celebrated his 100th birthday this Friday. Any recommendations of Vincent Price films to watch over the weekend?

Good thread biscuits. The sweet pic you posted is from The Bat, a very funny film. For other tongue-in-cheek picks I recommend House on Haunted Hill and House of Wax (far better than the abominal remake). The Oblong Box is also good.
Two must sees are The Fall of the House of Usher and Witchfinder General. If you like horror anthologies, check out Tales of Terror and Twice Told Tales.

I've heard The Last Man on Earth (based on the I Am Legend book) and The Masque of the Red Death are excellent but haven't seen them yet.

And of course there is the original The Fly, always a classic. and Dr Phibes! too many really.

I watched The Raven a couple of weeks ago. Definitely one of the more tongue in cheek ones too, but enjoyable all the same and also featuring a great turn from Boris Karloff with Peter Lorre and a young Jack Nicholson.
As far as I can remember Masque of the Red Death is excellent, but last time I watched it was a couple of decades ago.

I haven't seen The Raven. I think I've seen Pit and the Pendulum but if I have it was eons ago so I don't remember it. I wanted to see Twice Told Tales (I have a thing for horror anthologies) but it's only on Region 1 at great expense. Scream and Scream Again was on Sky MGM a while back. Quite silly but entertaining, with cameos by Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.

Those letters were sad, Liz. I nearly shed a tear. But I looked through some of the other letters and found one that the guy from Green Day wrote to a parent who was concerned about her 8 year old son hearing one of their albums. That raised my mood significantly.

They are sad. Something which had a similiar effect on me was a brief clip I saw on one of my Peter Cushing DVDs. There was an interview with him when he was in his sixties I think, I'm not sure. That was a pleasure to watch, but there was also a clip of a few minutes of footage taken at a special party a friend threw for his 80th birthday. He was in failing health but you could see his delight in being reunited with friends he hadn't seen in some cases for decades. But he was frail, a shadow of the Cushing we know in films. I felt like balling my eyes out after seeing it.

A good Vincent Price film to watch is Theatre of Blood. If ever an actor was meant for a role this was it. A wonderful mix of horror and black comedy.

I recorded this off MGM HD and watched it for the first time tonight. Excellent, very funny black comedy, nice clear print with some neat shots and camera angles which bely its age. Price is of course in his element, he's brill.

Vincent made many fine films that weren't in the horror genre.

One in particular is "The Song of Bernadette" Excellent film. Excellent role for him, especially with the business about his illness.
