In the vain hope of calming Ancient's no doubt mega rage, if they're going to be making a remake of The Crow then they could do worse than having Nick Cave pen the script.

I heard about this recently actually, apparently it's going to be a lot more like the original comic. Dunno if that'd work or not personally.

Wait for it............
I. Cannot.......Wait.
Seriously. Although I believe the original Crow was a true classic and is just about my favourite movie it did suffer from being quite a bit away from James O Barrs original vision. There is definitly room for another take on the story IF ITS DONE WELL.
Nick Cave being on board is manna from heaven. Not only has the man got a long past history with the goth scene through his music but he is a brilliant writer. The Proposition was one of the best "westerns" to have been made in recent years. Gritty, realistic with a great script. All in all if The Crow has to be remade I think its in good hands as far as the script goes.
As far as Stephen Norrington directing...not so sure.
Ok he can do dark and moody but his work is very patchy and he will need to really get his act together to produce something with the requisite atmosphere.
Iv'e known about a proposed remake for some time so this was not a huge shock. All things considered I am holding out for good things from this.

They had better not fuck up the soundtrack though or I WILL be mad.

Default Remake of The Crow?

Marky Mark has been asked to play the Crow in a remake penned by Nick Cave. I don't know if this would be a good thing or a bad thing.
