Tomorrow is my day off so I will be flooding this thread with pics of my ratty men. All 7 of them.

Zippykins, your rats are beautiful. I've yet to keep girl rats. What are they like compared to lads?

Our boys are so boisterous. They're always playfighting and humping each other. So much bromance...
They used to smack each other around a little but never took lumps out of each other. Rarely nibbled my fingers either. I don't know much about rats to be honest but they were much smaller than others I've seen even when fully grown - not sure if girls generally are?

Girls are smaller.

Our biggest boy Russel was nearly 800g at one point. A right gentle giant.
I've seen bigger at rat shows.

I think generally rats are just soppy. I've only been bitten once when I was breaking up a fight with my hand. And it was only an accident. Poor Chester was trying to show his authority over one of the babies and I got in the way. But thats the only time.

This thread makes me massively happy.

My Tiger. I call him Chicken (and many other silly names). He's gorgeous and I love him to pieces <3

This is Thomas, he died in February, he was 14 and I'd had him since I was 9. It was devastating, he was such an awesome cat. He lost a leg when he was hit by a car and he suffered with post traumatic stress disorder but he was such a soft, sweet-natured thing. Handsome too.

And this is Maggie, she's a rescue dog and she's reeeeally insecure. She also has a massive amount of disdain for me:

And this is Daria, my Russian dwarf hamster. She is pulling her saddest face because I'm taking photos instead of letting her run around in her ball!

A new kitten in the family. Meet 'Hop' (name still open to debate as I want to call her Ceefer).

She's dead cute. Is she a rescue kitty? Rescue cats are the bestest.

She is. Only nine weeks old and still very fluffy. Given Vimto the shits though, he doesn't know what to make of her.

It gives the resident cat a shock when a noob turns up, they're guarded at first, sometimes even hostile. But the general consensus is an older cat will accept a kitten more willingly so you've made a wise choice. Give them a few weeks and they'll be snuggled up together, specially if it's cold.

Oddly enough, it's Vimto who has been the most approachable of the two. Hop puts her hackles up and prances round him whenever he appears - much to his confusion.

There was a bit of bonding over 'catch the string' though. I'm confident all will be well.
