Do you feel he elevated Independence Day or Jurassic Park for example? He is certainly different to other actors but maybe he is an acquired taste like Marmite (I like Marmite though)

Sorry fella but Happy Gilmore is one of my guilty pleasures. We will agree to disagree though on Mr Goldblum after all one man's meat is another man's poison eh?

Not liking an actor doesn't mean he is a bad performer. A personal dislike or gripe about an actor really belongs in the 'Actors faces that get on your nerves' thread.

The other actor you mentioned, Cate Blanchett. Indy and the Crystal Skull may well be her worst performance, I don't know since I haven't seen it, but even on her worst day Blanchett is better than many actors at their best.

Cate Blanchett is a good actor on her day granted. However, her performance in the Indy disaster is truly dreadful and her attempt at a Russian accent makes Dick Van ****'s cockney accent in Mary Poppins seem oscar winning material.

Okay. I'll take your word for it as I've no plans to see that film, ever.

OK it was almost as bad as Keanu Reeves in Dracula.

Default The Man minus the Funky Bunch

Mark Wahlberg has been mentioned loads in this thread, and unless Im as dumb as an M.Night script, I cant see that anyone has mentioned THE HAPPENING?!? What was up with him in that movie? Had the "evil wind" trapped itself inside of him, hence the 100 odd minutes of constipated looks we had to endure? And what of the pot plant scene? Im not sure who was more wooden!

It's not often that a man can be out-acted by the wind.
