I still have my Dreamcast tucked safely away with a copious amount of games, including the awesome Sega Bass Fishing!

Ah the good old Playstation, I used to adore it back in the day, countless hours spent wasting my life on FF7 and FF8, Metal Gear Solid and there was a decent space combat/dogfighting game, I forget its name completely, but it had an ace story and lots of "He's on my six!" "Break right!" kind of dialogue from your wingmen, which I find very satisfying.

Hmm if I remember correctly you ended up being part of a squadron called 'The Flying Tigers'.

Resdient Evil 2 was landmark game as well, I tended to only really play the big marquee type games like those on the Playstation, then the X-Box came along after the dreamcast and my love affair with Sony came to an abrupt end.

But the N64 was the bomb, Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time, best.....game......ever!

You might mean Colony Wars. That game was incredible and the graphics were stunning at the time. As for Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2. I bought both games on the same day and basically didn't leave my house for two weeks afterward. Gaming at its best.

That might be it, it was awesome, there were loads of Pilots with various call signs as your wing men and enemies, and a great epic sense of scale when it came to the story.

Intercepting torpedoes, rescuing civilians, dogfighting. Ah I want to play it now.

There used to be news reel-esque updates on you and your squadron as you went about the various upgrades in between missions. Quite ahead of it's time.

Resident Evil 2 is the only resi-game I ever played to completion, I remember jumping at the screen more than once, especially when the 'Lickers' came crawling out. And the panic inducing controls of having to stop and shoot as a big lumbering bohemoth came towards you!

Was '2' the one with the 'Alligator'/'Jaws' riff in the sewers towards the end?

"Smile you son of a bitch!" KABOOM!

That does it I'm bringing my spare controller round and we're going retro!

Yeah. 2 had a giant alligator. The other game doesn't sound like colony wars anymore though. The first Silent Hill game is still one of my favourites of all time.

Ah I had 'Colony Wars' , but what I'm thinking of is 'Starlancer' on the Dreamcast, damn that was a fine game.

I had 'Colony Wars' though and if I remember, I was crap at it.

Starlancer sounds similar to Wing Commander.

The game I remember playing alot on the original PLAYSTATION was the WWII strategy game, PANZER GENERAL. That ate up many hours.

Now I own a PS3 but miss being able to play the massive collection of PS2 titles I had, since my machine burned out and I had to purchase a newer model, although at least some of them are now available online from the Playstation Store.

My favourite PS2 games included the TAITO LEGENDS and MIDWAY ARCADE TREASURES compilations which featured dozens of arcade-perfect titles such as GAUNTLET and BUBBLE BOBBLE. Great days indeed!

Music 2000 swallowed a lot of my 20's. Wish I still had some of those tunes.
