Default New TotalFilm.com

Hey guys, thanks for your patience this morning, thankfully the forum was only down momentarily.

Any thoughts on the new design - feedback is always appreciated!

Cheers, Dan

Hi forumites,

I've noticed that the Forum isn't displaying correctly in Google Chrome. If anyone spots any such weirdnesses on any browsers for either the website or the Forum, can you let us know here?

Ta.

Liking the new look, apart from the diagonal stripes which are making my eyes ache.

One bit of functionality I'd love to see return from the old original site is the topic drop down at the bottom of the page. When you'd scrolled to the end of a thread you could select a different topic (reviews, general chat etc) from this drop down without having to scroll all the way back to the top. When you're on a laptop it's light relief for your finger.

Cheers for the feedback, Roba.

I hear ya on the diagonal lines. Dan will be checking this thread, so he'll hopefully pick that one up.

Regarding Forum functionality, we're in the queue for some changes to the Forum, ie a search facility that works, a Forum tool bar, easy access to user profiles. A topic drop down box like you describe has also been included in the spec.

The forum isn't working properly in Firefox. The little side advert covers the right-hand side of the forum layout in the top half menus cover over links at the top. I'm sending this using IE <shudder>, because a few times I've not been able to get at the reply pane because it's been blank. Not all the time, but some of it.

Thanks for taking the time to feedback, dglthrawn. I'll pass it on. If you get a chance, could you do a screengrab and email it to me at elizhawkins77@yahoo.co.uk?

Hi everyone, thanks for all your feedback, it's really helpful!

Most of the reported issues, especially those that are ad related, seem to be caused by caching issues. Please refresh your browser cache and see if that makes a difference.

We're still working few a through bugs fixes so hopefully everything will improve generally over the next couple of days!

It seems to have let in all manner of spam though. I hope we arent going to have a repeat of what happened after the last revamp when the forum was almost killed beneath a deluge of spam. Twice this week Ive seen an influx of spam in the early hours of the morning. Tighten up guys.
